catalog mode problem

Hi

When i switch on cataloge mode, in i turn off or on hide prices, the prices are not visible.
or i switch off catalog mode and i add a new text on cart button, and turn mode to email, also not working.
Now i like using my store in calaoge mode, with the prices, and changing the cart button -> order button with my email adress.
