Add to Cart – Grid View (on hover)

Add to cart button on hover there is no indication to the user that the item has been added to the cart. Cart circle in menu is updated and shows (1) item. Works as expected. However click add cart again the circle is not updated, still only indicates 1 item in the cart but when expanding the cart it shows more items (see image).

1. How to show message to user that the cart has been updated
2. Fix circle above cart to match number of items actually in the cart
